Discover the superpower of the Rodger training!
Hey there, little hero! Are you familiar with the Rodger training yet? Join us on a journey where we discover the superpower of the Rodger training! It is a special programme designed for you and your bladder. It can help you stop wetting the bed at night and go to the toilet on time during the day. Let’s find out more about it!
Why are we going to train?
We are training to make sure that from now on you will be warned on time when you have to go to the toilet. In our bodies, pee collects itself in the bladder. This is a kind of bag inside your body that fills up with fluid when you eat and drink. Your bladder talks to you to your brain to let you know when it is full and wants to be emptied. Your bladder tells your brain ‘I need to be emptied!’ and then your brain tells you, ‘I need to pee!
Sometimes, your bladder isn’t able tell your brain that it needs to be emptied. Your brain just can’t hear your bladder. As a result, your brain can’t tell you that you need to pee, it just doesn’t know! But your full bladder needs to empty itself and then, without warning you, just goes and does it. As a result, you pee in your bed or pants.

What will we train then?
Using a very clever device called a bedwetting alarm, we will do the training. Bedwetting alarms are special devices made to help children (and grown ups too!) team up with their bladder. So that your bladder learns to shout louder to your brain and you can start working as a team. They do this by sounding an alarm when you pee in your pants instead of on the toilet. This way, your bladder gets an extra loud voice and your brain learns to recognise your bladder’s cries, making your bladder heard! After a while, you will see that your bladder has learned to call loud enough to be heard by your brain. Even before the alarm goes off!

So how do these alarms work?
These alarms are super smart. They use a sensor that you click onto a kind of gadget brief. When that sensor picks up even a tiny bit of moisture (like when you start peeing), you will be alerted. They can even wake you up when you are asleep! The alarm is like a nudge to your brain to let it know that your bladder wants to tell it something. This is how you train your brain to start listening to your bladder better and your bladder starts to learn how to give that nudge itself. So, the alarm actually gives your bladder a way to be heard by your brain. Like turning up the volume button on your bladder!

Can I do it?
Yes, you can! Thanks to the Rodger training, lots of children around the world have already learned to team up with their bladders and brains. Anyone can learn it, so you can too! Take off on this adventure and before you know it, you will have stayed dry for the first time for a whole day, a whole week and a whole month. Together with Rodger, you will succeed!
